Wherever you are in the world, KneeStrength.com can offer effective personal training. All we need is the ability to talk you through better form. We offer much of our advice for free in our articles, but there is no substitute for an informed, personalised trainer who can tell you exactly what needs correcting in your personal form. If you want extra guidance, consider our online training.
I’ve been blessed to have found Chris, even if he is halfway around the world from me. – Andrea
Online personal training: the details
We provide real time feedback on proper joint position and correct form, to ensure that you move properly. This does not have to require weights, or any especial equipment. A web-camera would be ideal, to see your movements live and guide you through corrections – but even this isn’t entirely necessary, as we could coach based on recorded footage or accounts of your problems.
I have been doing the sissy squats with your recommendations and my knee is already feeling better-amazing! I have to be honest that several days ago I was very uncertain that this program could help my problem. I have not felt this amount of progress or hope with my knee condition for many years. – Mike
Ideally, however, we operate using Skype. In the early days, we recommend the minimum equipment of a wooden board for sissy squats (with the possibility of additional wooden blocks depending on your squat ability), and a squat platform such as a chair, or a slightly lower box (for when the chair becomes easy). A broom or mop handle would also be useful for teaching effective bar-holding technique.
Skype training then involves observation of your technique with live coaching cues to improve your movements. We believe anyone with bad knees can benefit enormously from being slowly talked through correct movements, even via Skype. And we have proven success in training this way: on numerous occasions when clients have been in pain, our techniques of guiding them through slow holds and movements in adjusted positions have removed the pain right there during the session. You don’t have to take our word for it – more than half of the clients in our testimonials are distance learners. Better yet, contact us and try a session for yourself.
